Bhajan Hunjan

Never previously exhibited at any AAF and a graduate of the Slade in 1981 Hunjan is mostly known for her public art and site specific commissions including cultural mapping and most recently Garuda- Celebrating Ram Gopal, a SADAA (South Asian Diaspora Arts Archive) and a Victoria and Albert Museum, Heritage Lottery Funded project with Burnham Grammar School.

Overall my work has dealt with issues of ever changing identity using grid forms, pattern and repetition, patterns, motifs and script.

From working with people, Bhajan has slipped with the greatest of ease into shaping the spaces in which people can move and create. There is a prevailing humanism at the centre of her work.
